HACU Scholarship Program – Due June 10

All scholarship applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate financial need and be eligible for Federal Financial Aid (student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
Meet specific criteria for the scholarships to which they are applying.
Attend a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are completed and scholarship awards are made.  For the most up-to-date listing of HACU member institutions, please click here.
Deloitte Scholars Program–$2,200
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Accounting. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and must be classified as a sophomore, junior or first year master’s student. Recipient must be interested in a career with Deloitte.
Kristen A. Sanchez Deloitte Student of the Year Scholarship –$10,000
Full-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Accounting. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and must be classified as a junior or first year master’s student. Recipient will be required to attendHACU’s Annual Conference Student Track in San Antonio, Texas, October 29-31, 2011 to receive and accept the scholarship award. Recipient must be interested in a career with Deloitte.
NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award–$12,100
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Management, or Technology.  Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0., and preference will be given to students attending school in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. Upon notification of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for NASCAR press purposes.
The Deloitte Tax Scholars Program–$3,000
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Accounting. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and must be classified as a sophomore, junior or first year master’s student. Recipient must be interested in a career with Deloitte in its “tax” function.
United Health Foundation/Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Scholarship–$2,000
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Clinical Psychology, Dental Technician, Nursing, (Pre) Optometry, (Pre) Dental, (Pre) Medicine, (Pre) Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Public Health, Mental Health, or Behavioral Health. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipients will be required to submit a professional resume and participate in a pre and post scholarship survey.
Application Deadline: June 10, 2011. Supporting documents (enrollment verification form and transcript) must be postmarked no later than June 10, 2011.
