U.S. Department of State Summer 2011 Internships-Due Nov 1st

by

Become a student of the world as an intern with the U.S. Department of State. We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2011 Student Internship Program (they have rolling sessions).

Whether you work in the U.S. or overseas at one of over 265 American embassies and consulates, this one-of-a-kind opportunity will offer you a global perspective and the chance to embark on the journey of a lifetime.

As a U.S. State Department intern, you will work alongside Foreign Service Officers and Specialists, and Civil Service professionals who influence U.S. foreign policy in an effort to:

  • Rebuild the world’s economy
  • Protect our environment
  • Defeat violent extremism
  • Protect the interests of American citizens overseas

To meet these challenges, we are seeking diverse, culturally aware, adaptable, well-rounded and strategic problem-solvers – including those pursuing degrees in Economics, Business, Public Administration, Information Management and Engineering, or language skills in Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Hindi, Dari and Mandarin Chinese.

For complete details on the Summer 2011 Internship Program, view and/or download our brochure at http://careers.state.gov/docs/4.0_Student_Intern_brochure.pdf

Apply now at careers.state.gov to begin your life trip. You’ll be surprised by how far it takes you.

I’m a Senior undergraduate at the George Washington University interested in applying for an internship program while I still have the chance. Is there any way that I can still apply for the summer program? If not, can I apply for an internship for the fall program?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Jehan
