Health Policy Fellowship- Grad students – Due 7/1/2007


TRPI Seeks Applicants for AstraZeneca Health Policy Fellowship The Tomás Rivera Policy Institute (TRPI) is seeking health policy applicants for a 9-month assignment as the TRPI AstraZeneca Health
Policy Fellow.

Over the course of the fellowship, the fellow will complete the following activities:

· Conduct an intensive literature review on the issue of the uninsured
and how it affects the future of Latino and African American

· Interview key stakeholders nationwide about the issue of the
uninsured as it relates to Latino and African American communities.

· Attend and participate in three policy summits.

· Write a white paper addressing the issue of the uninsured at the
conclusion of the summits.

· Develop and write a comprehensive, practical, accessible, policy
report drawing on the full findings of the fellowship. This report
will address one or more key issues pertaining to the uninsured Latino
and African American communities. This report will analyze the issues
in a national context, and provide recommended solutions that can be
implemented by concerned stakeholders.

TRPI is looking to fill this position on or before July 1, 2007.

This fellowship is underwritten with a grant from AstraZeneca.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have completed graduate-level studies (Masters or PhD) in a health-related field with an interest in gaining a better understanding of the uninsured Latino and African American populations in the United States. Candidates must possess excellent writing skills, be able to work well independently, and travel nationally as needed through the course of the fellowship.
