Are you, or is someone you know, a high school senior intending to pursue a career in medicine? Do you live in one of the following counties: Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara, or Santa Cruz?
The physicians of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) fund and award pre-medical scholarships each year to deserving high school students with significant financial need in the local community who plan to pursue careers as doctors. The scholarships are $20,000, paid out over 4 years.
To qualify, students must:
· Anticipate careers as doctors.
· Plan to take undergraduate pre-medical courses to help prepare for medical school.
· Be in the top 20 percent of his or her high school graduating class (as verified by high school transcript).
· Demonstrate a need for financial assistance to attend college.
